RTC-Workshop Hanoi, 08.–09.03.2010

After a training needs assessment in Vietnam, Cambodia and Lao, experts from the partner institutions ITT, VAWR, National University of Lao, MRC, the University of Battambang, Cambodia, and the University Gadjah Mada, Indonesia met to discuss the development of further training courses. Representatives from funding institutions JICA, BGR, UNDP, ADB and GTZ joined the workshop in order to contribute with their expertise. Furthermore, researchers from different universities with research experience in South East Asia confirmed that capacity building measures and stakeholder involvement are indispensable for successful research. Valuable contributions were made regarding the target groups and further institutions to be involved in the four countries, further problems concerning natural resources and environment, teaching and learning methods and the development of training concepts.
